| + | Thomas “Wyatt” Medicus died peacefully at Howard County General Hospital on November 23rd at the age of 69. Wyatt is survived by his wife, Melanie Medicus; his sister Dorothy Medicus Rudik of Sterling Heights MI; his daughters Jennifer Medicus of Alexandria VA; Jennifer Kearney Lawrence of Glenwood MD; Sara Medicus Sheibley of Columbia MD and Stephanie Kearney of Pasadena, MD. He is preceded in death by his first wife Luanne Clunn Medicus originally from Somers Point NJ and later Severna Park MD; his mother Marie D’Alfonzo of Westminster, MD; his father Wyatt Medicus of Catonsville MD; his brothers Richard Medicus of Baltimore MD and David Medicus of Austin, TX; and his sister Bridget Beth Kelly of Austin, TX. | ||

| + | Wyatt was born June 9, 1945 in Baltimore Maryland to Marie and Wyatt Medicus. He graduated from Severna Park High in 1963, and then went on to earn a degree in finance. He married Luanne Clunn in 1969. After a few years of working for Johns Hopkins began working for North Arundel Hospital in the finance department, eventually retiring as the Vice President. Luanne passed away in April of 1989. He met a wonderful woman and in October of 1990 he married Melanie Kearney. | ||

| + | Wyatt had such a rich a full life that it is hard to put so many accomplishments into a few sentences. He wrote the original programming code for PBS television. He taught CPR and some computer classes at AACC. He owned his own computer repair and retail store, worked for the Salvation Army briefly, and also for Birthright of Annapolis. He loved music and played guitar, had a love/hate relationship with golf, loved to watch football, college basketball, and of course the Baltimore Orioles. He loved his grandkids, Rebekka, Alex, Ashleigh, Kyle, Morgan, and Taylor with all his heart and would do anything for them. | ||

| + | A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, November 29 at 3:30 pm at Mount Zion Methodist Church in Highland MD, with a memorial social to follow at 5:00 pm at the Community Center in Legacy at Cherry Tree on Ice Crystal Drive in Laurel MD. Reverend Malcolm Stranathan will officiate the ceremony. Food and Drinks will be provided but dishes and desserts are welcome. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Wyatt’s life.
